It’s not every day a drive-thru window opens up on the side of the highway…unless of course it’s a day with Director Sam Cadman. In his latest stunt, he and Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, opened their newest location in Fort Stockton, Texas where they set up a digital menu board and ordering box to catch the attention of unsuspecting road-trippers.
To promote their 12-hour marination process, Popeyes’ installed their pop-up 12 hours away from their flagship location in New Orleans – inviting customers to road trip to pick up their order. A few fearless chicken lovers accepted the challenge and when they arrived in New Orleans not only did they celebrate with a meal on the house, but they also won a year of free Popeyes chicken! In his trademark style, Sam captured the journey and reactions of a few excited groups who were more than ready to get their hands on some chicken!
If you’re not already heading that way and want to spend the gas money to make the long trip out, AdAge says “Popeyes will be giving them their meal for free, so we’d suggest ordering generously.”
The drive-thru officially opens on November 9, and 12-hour drive-thru customers can also get a chance to win a year’s worth of free fried chicken if they sign up at www.12hrdrivethru.com before they make their trip.
