Sam Spiegel
Biography
Sam Spiegel is a director, music producer, composer and DJ. He recently created a wildly popular four-episode web series for Impossible Foods, featuring Wu-Tang Clan’s RSA, GZA and Ghostface Killah, which played at Tribeca X (Tribeca Film Festival’s branded entertainment program). Sam also directed two highly praised branded films for National Geographic — “The Instrument,” a Webby Award winner, and “The Mirror” for Pereira & O’Dell, as well as an Instagram campaign, “#Pride2018” as part of the platform’s commitment to foster a safer, kinder and more inclusive community. He helmed Mass Mutual’s New Year’s Eve live experiential film that was broadcast on CNN, and with experiential outfit LEGS and choreographer Ryan Huffington, Sam creative directed Target’s sensory experiential masterpiece, “Kaleidoscopic Fashion Spectacular.” He also directed “Ji- had Love Squad (ft. KRS- One),” a provocative video that re-contextualizes the word “jihad” and recently completed his first short film “Heaven” which explores mental health and dance.
An incredibly versatile and sought-after talent, Sam is the founder and chief composer of top industry music company, Squeak E. Clean and has scored acclaimed spots for Nike, Cadillac, Adidas and Honda. Most recently his piece, “Mutant Brain” for Kenzo World earned him a Gold Film Craft Lion for Original Music and was #2 on the Spotify Global Viral Charts. Sam has also scored many films such as Spike Jonze’s cult skateboard- ing classic “Yeah Right!”, “Jackass 3D”, HBO Documentary, “Pretty Things” and Drew Barrymore’s “Whip It.”
