It was Editor’s Pick on Creativity and Ad of the Day on Adweek, which described it as “… poetic and playful … while steering light years away from a predictable ‘watch-the-show’ pitch.” Sam directed Instagram’s #Pride2018 campaign, which brought together powerful young leaders and activists in the LGBTQ+ community with their role models to exchange ideas and experiences, and Mass Mutual’s New Year’s Eve live experiential film which was broadcast on CNN. He also directed “Jihad Love Squad (feat. KRS-One),” a provocative video which re-contextualizes the word jihad.
An incredibly versatile and sought after talent, Sam is the founder/musician of top industry music company Squeak E. Clean which has taken the commercial world by storm. The musical project focuses on ignoring boundaries and bringing people together from completely different worlds in order to create unique and unexpected art. “The Spirit of Apollo” features Kanye West, George Clinton, M.I.A., Tom Waits, RZA and David Byrne, while the corresponding music videos feature animated collaborations by visual artists including Shepard Fairey, Sage Vaughn, Marcel Dzama and The Date Farmers.
