Little Village is a collective led by director/DPs Mike Malagon and Campbell Brewer. The two got their start shooting in challenging locations around the world–they’ve shot nomads in Mongolia, followed mountaineers up the high Sierras and rode camels with Bedouin tribes through Wadi Rum. They go where most prefer not to, which has made them into the versatile filmmakers they are today with an ability to problem solve on the fly that makes them uniquely positioned to handle any type of production.
Their style shows an appreciation for story told through a wide and strikingly cinematic lens. They have a passion for socially engaged commercials, documentary, and branded content, covering topics that range from technology and globalization to travel and adventure. This can be seen in their work for clients like Patagonia, Microsoft, Airbnb and Southwest Airlines.
The idea behind the name Little Village is all about the collaborative community that is production. Bringing powerful stories to the screen is never one man’s job—it takes a village.
